THAW: a conversation

This collaborative, multimedia exhibition of poems and paintings opened at Next Stage Arts Project in winter 2018. Artist Evie Lovett and poet Diana Whitney share their points of intersection on the muse of the river, as friends and fellow artists.

In 2019, THAW moved to Vermont Academy, where Diana taught poetry as a visiting writer and the community engaged in an integrative study of the river.

THAW continues to travel to venues along the Connecticut River corridor and beyond, welcoming audiences into an intimate experience of the freeze/thaw cycle.
